Cancelled / Missed Appointment Policy
Please understand that for an initial consultation, a significant amount of time needs to be allocated as we need to discuss your case history, perform an examination and any necessary diagnostic testing procedures before any treatment can be undertaken.
When your booking is made, we will take your credit / debit card details over the phone in order to secure your preferred appointment time.
No additional charges will be applied to your card if you attend your appointment as booked.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your initial appointment, you may do so up until the close of business on the day before your appointment. If you cancel your initial appointment on the day, or fail to attend the initial appointment without any notice, a $100 missed appointment fee will apply.
Our staff will do their best to arrange appointment times that are suitable for you. We ask that you allocate some priority to these appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we prefer to have at least a days notice of the cancellation.
Whilst we endeavour to be accommodating of urgent circumstances that arise, please understand that this does cause us considerable inconvenience.
Regrettably, we will have to charge for the full cost of any cancelled appointments in future if they occur excessively.
As a courtesy, we will not charge any cancellation fees the first time this happens in a given calendar year, because we understand that unexpected emergencies may arise. If you cancel an appointment without at least 1 days notice a second time within a calendar year, we will not charge a cancellation fee, but you will be given a notification that future short notice cancellations will incur the full cost of the session as a cancellation fee. If you continue to cancel appointments on the day, you will be charged for the full cost of the sessions.
We will waive the cancellation fee if you reschedule and attend another appointment in the same week.
We are happy to provide SMS reminders on the day of your appointment. If you require a reminder the day before the scheduled appointment, please let our staff know when you book the appointment.
